About

I began in high school years, developing and printing black-and-white from my 1948 Brownie Flash Six-20, a copy of which I recently, excitedly bought in an antique store. I took up color slide photography in the late 50’s with an Argus C-3 (Wow … a rangefinder!) followed by a Retina IIIc system (Wow … interchangable lenses!). Family and career restricted me to mostly family and travel pictures and I dropped out altogether in the mid-70’s.

With my career having been largely in the computer field, digital photography was a natural and I’m into it big time — on my eighth digital camera since 1999 (Gather ye pixels while ye may). Currently shooting with a Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L, Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS, Canon 100 mm f/2.8L IS Macro, Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS, a couple of Lensbaby lenses, Photoshop CS6, and printing on an Epson 2200 and a 3800. Life is good.
